Plinkit stands for Public Library Interface Kit. Plinkit allows staff members to maintain their library website online and without having to learn HTML, purchase hardware, software, or new equipment.
Plinkit is a collaborative effort between Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, and Oregon to help public libraries with a web presence. In Texas, this is being sponsored through the Texas State Library And Archives Commission. And best of all its free!

Plinkit does require some training, but if members are familiar with a text editor or word processing concepts, you should be up and making changes to your site in hardly any time at all! If you do require training, please call the AALS office. At this time, training will be on a case by case basis.
